Friends of School (FOS)

The Friends of School (Parent Group) is a motivated and friendly group that focus on raising funds for our school.  Each year we have several ongoing fundraising projects that you can be involved in. We invite all parents to come along and join. We are keen to hear of new initiatives that can help make our school even better. Recently we donated $10,000 to the school for the purchase of new ICT and modern learning furniture.

For more information you can contact the Chairperson  – Bec Moreton.

becsHi, my name is Rebecca Moreton and I am the new chairperson of the Friends of School (FOS).

The FOS is comprised of mostly parents with a Board of Trustee member and a teacher representative.  We are committed to raising money for the school, so the school can spend money on the children of Broadfield School.  Simple really!!  We always love to see new faces at our meetings which we hold a couple of times a term at the most.  WE NEED YOU!! to help make this school the best it can be for the children, so please, if you can help in anyway, you can contact us on

I am mum of two, Kieran and Chloe who go to this school.  I work part time at the Christchurch Hospital in the Oncology Department as a Radiation Therapist.  We as a family love sports, camping, fishing, exploring, and exciting new adventures!!  We love Broadfield School, how its all about ‘digging deep’, Whanau and the community and feel we are really lucky to have such a great school near us.
