BOT - Chairperson
My wife Adele and I and our 2 boys shifted to Canterbury in August 2010 to take over Broadfields Mushrooms. Since then our daughter Olivia has arrived and we have closed the mushroom business. Olivia is in Year 2 now and enjoying Broadfield Primary. The mushroom business spawned The Chaff Chaps business that we co-own, this specialises in providing high quality Timothy chaff across the country. We also own Scooterbitz, New Zealand’s leading specialist push scooter retailer. I have held a number of management roles, having previously worked for both Massey and Auckland University, as well as in the private sector. I have had the privilege to serve on 2 other Board of Trustees (Auckland and Manawatu) as well as several other governance groups.
I am looking forward to working with the other Board members, the staff and community as the school continues to meet the challenges of preparing our children for an ever changing world.
BOT - Finance
I’m the Global Support Manager for the Civil Construction technologies within Trimble, a US multi-national that began as a GPS hardware company that now uses many different technologies to service various industries. I manage several diverse and talented teams spread across the globe who support Trimble’s distribution channel, key customers and strategic partners.
My wife Nikki and I have 3 boys attending Broadfield Primary. Weekends are fairly active either working on our lifestyle block, enjoying the outdoors with the family, or running around a sports field with the kids. I have coached or helped coach one or more of the boys at Prebbleton Rugby Club, and Weedons Cricket Club.
I’m looking forward to the challenges that will come with being on the Board of Trustees, and I will do everything I can to help the school dig deep and be the best it can be. Please contact me if I can be of any assistance.Contact me
BOT - Property/Funding
We own several small businesses that have evolved from the products and services I have created over the past ten years. I like thinking about the bigger picture and ‘what if’ scenarios and then turning those ideas into opportunities. My latest business is in Australia where our software helps companies working in the Energy Efficiency sector comply with the strict requirements the various government schemes.
Since moving our son’s Oliver and Lachlan to Broadfield School three years ago we have enjoyed being part of this inclusive community and are grateful of the contribution so many make to the school for the benefit of all.
I am very proud to be part of a great school board and seek to return this kindness and make a positive impact to the school and community.
My training as a Civil/Structural draughtsman equips me well to work with the Property portfolio and assist with Health & Safety and other roles if needed.

BOT - Property
I am the New Car Sales Manager for Mercedes Benz at Armstrong Prestige. I have been in the car industry for close to twenty years, fair to say it’s a passion of mine. In my spare time I enjoy mountain biking, cycling and am also involved in the Lincoln Golden Oldies rugby team. My wife, Katrina and I have three children. The older two, Isabella and Oliver currently attend Broadfield School. We have been living in the Broadfield Community for nearly ten years and there is nowhere else we would rather be. We see it as a privilege that our children are able to grow up in this great country community. I am honoured to be a part of the school Board and contribute whatever I can to such a school. I am involved in the property side of things including new developments alongside Rod Hansen and Blair Baxter. Please contact me if I can assist in any way.Contact me
BOT Community Liaison
My partner James and I have two girls, Jorja and Anya who both currently attend Broadfield School. We have lived in the Broadfield area for 9 years now and absolutely love it here. I have a Diploma in Fashion Technology and Design. I am self employed and run my own business doing contract work as a Garment Specification Technician, which involves helping my clients with all aspects of garments manufactured offshore in China and India. Before doing my diploma I spent 3 years working in the mines in the outback of Western Australia. During this time I drove 240 tonne Cat 793 dump trucks, 966 Cat loaders and Cat 773 water carts. I was promoted to truck trainer which required needing nerves of steel. My hobbies and interests include mountain biking, skiing, diving, gardening and anything to do with art and design. I feel very privileged to have been asked to join the BOT team, as I am passionate about this great school and community that we are lucky enough to live in. I look forward to being part of the fantastic and hard working FOS team, and helping to organise the 150th Broadfield Jubilee for next year.Contact me
